Facebook API coverage

Group members

Retrieve available member pages and continue using the returned cursor. Page sizes and visibility depend on the upstream source. Members reference.

Group posts and feeds

Retrieve feed items, post text, attachments and available reaction or comment counters. Filter mixed feed nodes and deduplicate posts. Feed reference.

Profiles and social connections

Read available overview data, followers, following and friends. Hidden lists can return empty data. Overview reference.

Start by resolving a Facebook group

Use a GetSocialAPI key from your dashboard. The resolver returns the group identifier required by member and group endpoints. This is an example response for the documented group URL.

Continue with the members endpoint, the group posts endpoint, or the Facebook Python SDK.

Pagination, visibility and request budgeting

  • Visibility: hidden or inaccessible groups, profiles and connection lists can return missing or empty data. Availability is not a guarantee of a complete export.
  • Cursors: pass the returned page_info.end_cursor unchanged as after, and follow has_next_page.
  • Group feeds: native pages can contain only a few posts. The unified feed can combine several pages; deduplicate by post identifier.
  • Billing: calls returning HTTP 200 or 404 count toward the monthly quota. Other errors do not consume request quota. Follow the rate limits and Retry-After headers.

How does this differ from Meta’s Graph API?

GetSocialAPI is a third-party data service with its own endpoints, API keys and billing. It is separate from Meta’s official APIs. You do not provide Facebook login credentials to use GetSocialAPI. Review the documented fields and visibility limits before choosing it for your workflow.
